Terms and conditions

1. Definitions

  • "Company" refers to [The Wedding Landy].
  • "Client" refers to the person making the booking.
  • "Vehicle" refers to the Land Rover vehicles provided.
  • "Hire Period" refers to the agreed date and times stated on the booking confirmation

2. Booking & Payment

2.1 A booking is only confirmed once the Company has received the required non-refundable booking fee and issued written confirmation.

  • 2.2 The remaining balance must be paid no later than [14] days before the wedding date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • 2.3 Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation without refund.

 

3. Cancellation by the Client

  • 3.1 All booking fees are non-refundable.
  • 3.2 If the Client cancels the booking:
  • More than [30] days before the event: booking fee forfeited.
  • Less than [30] days before the event: 100% of the total hire charge may be payable.

3.3 Cancellation must be made in writing.

 

4. Cancellation or Substitution by the Company

4.1 In the unlikely event that the Vehicle becomes unavailable due to mechanical failure, accident, or circumstances beyond our control, the Company will:

  • Endeavour to provide a suitable replacement Land Rover where possible; or
  • Offer a full refund if no replacement can be provided.

4.2 The Company shall not be liable for any additional costs, losses, or consequential damages.

 

5. Vehicle Use & Conduct

  • 5.1 The Vehicle must be used solely for the agreed purpose of wedding transport.
  • 5.2 The Client is responsible for ensuring passengers behave appropriately.
  • 5.3 The following are strictly prohibited inside the Vehicle:
  • Smoking or vaping
  • Alcohol consumption 
  • Food that may damage the interior

5.4 The Client may be charged for any cleaning, damage, or repairs resulting from misuse.

 

6. Timings & Delays

  • 6.1 The Company will make every reasonable effort to arrive on time.
  • 6.2 Delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather, or events beyond our control are not the Company's responsibility.
  • 6.3 Additional time beyond the agreed Hire Period will be charged at £75per hour or part thereof.

7. Routes & Locations

  • 7.1 Routes and locations must be agreed in advance.
  • 7.2 The Company reserves the right to refuse unsafe or unsuitable routes, including off-road driving unless specifically agreed.

 

8. Photography & Decoration

  • 8.1 Photography with the Vehicle is permitted during the Hire Period.
  • 8.2 Decorations (e.g. ribbons or flowers) are allowed only if approved in advance and must not cause damage.
  • 8.3 The Company may remove any decorations deemed unsafe.

 

9. Liability

  • 9.1 The Company holds valid motor insurance, including hire and reward.
  • 9.2 The Company is not liable for:
  • Delays beyond its control
  • Loss or damage to personal belongings
  • Indirect or consequential losses

9.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

 

10. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, strikes, government restrictions, or emergencies.

 

11. Data Protection

Personal information provided by the Client will be used solely for booking administration and handled in accordance with UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK.
